Creative This image was done using food coloring in cold water. I used an ice cube to make it even colder so the food coloring would be slower to dissolve. I then rotated the image 180 degrees and applied a solarization filter to change the look. For me, it looks like a child's painting of flowers.

Creative I saw this hosta-type plant in the ditch and took a photo. The unfurled leaves made me think of a pair of eyes. To give it a different look from the previous image, I rotated it 180 degrees and changed it to B&W. It's like a face with two different expressions!

Creative I came across this chair on top of a small hill quite by accident. There were two rows of similar chairs next to it, all in preparation of a wedding rehearsal. I took this image of the lone chair because it appealed to me in the "less is more" sense of composition.

Creative I was playing with oil drops on water when I took this composition. What gives the bubbles some color is a multi-colored rag underneath the glass container holding the water.

Creative While walking in a small park, I noticed this lone yellow leaf on a wooden park bench. I used a tripod so I would be sure of having a level focal plane to take this image. I wanted all parts of the leaf to be in focus.

Creative A residence one street over from where I live had this older horse "buggy" parked on their front lawn. I have a B&W infrared photo similar to this one in the Infrared gallery. The owner was saying her husband had given a fresh coat of paint and put new leather on the seats. She had added some flower pots in the back section of wagon. I find this colour version of the shot appealing with its bright red and beautiful purplish flowers behind the seats.

Creative I took this image on a very windy evening while with a group of photographers out doing some light painting shots. This man was taking a break when the setting sun peaked through the clouds long enough to illuminate his face. I quickly composed and took this photo before the sun disappeared for good!

Creative I took this image while out shooting some older buildings in a small village in the middle of nowhere. It was remarkable that even the flowers were made of rock. The colours were washed out so I changed it to black & white and brought out more texture.

CreativeThis is an image of Black-eyed Susans on drugs. It originated from one image of these flowers from my garden. I then created the ball in the middle, then for the other 4, I mirrored vertically and horizontally to get this look. I then applied a filter to bring out the vivid colours even more.

CreativeYou need to think outside the box for this one. I had found a piece of aluminum sheet in a marina and on that sheet there was a smudge of shinier metal where some steel wool had scratched the surface. I gave it a black background and this "object" came out better. What I see is a type of "manuscript paper" with a "pen" waiting to write on it. Feel free to interpret it as you see fit!

CreativeThis is an abstract photo. I have this big thick glass container which has engravings/etchings in the glass. I put the container in front of a window and took a photo of part of one of the etchings with sunlight lighting up the background seen through the glass. Then I just played around with a plugin to create these "silver spkies".

CreativeThe original photo used for this very creative image is quite ordinary. It was part of an old barn with maybe three or four pieces of wood sticking out of what used to be a roof. I then used a process, described in a magazine, using three different Photoshop filters. It was fun playing around with this.

CreativeThe original photo used for this very creative image was a very good photo of blue flowers (check out Plants 18). The continuous blue throughout the image made this one softer and cool. I then used a process, described in a magazine, using three different Photoshop filters. It was fun playing around with this.

I played around with rotating the image horizontally and vertically to come out with this set of repeating curves. It was fun playing around with this.
